Microgaming Online Casinos - TV Network dives into online casinos industry

The online gambling world has been filled with reports recently of online casinos companies buying up “brick and mortar” companies and branching out into fields other than online casinos gambling (such as entertainment), but a recent announcement from Poker TV Network, Inc., has shown the online gambling world that while online casino sites may be giving traditional forms of entertainment a run for their money, the television industry isn’t about to let itself be bought out by an online casinos company before the TV industry can purchase online casinos assets itself. Never far behind on popular trends, Poker TV Network last week announced the purchase of online poker related properties such as Poker Updates, Poker Media Network, and Poker Talk Show.

“Since we started the development of the network, we have had our eye on Poker Updates and other content that Eric was producing,” said Poker TV Network CEO Michael Grasso.

The three main online casinos properties acquired by Poker TV were founded and run by self-proclaimed “web broadcasting pioneer” Eric Rosenberg, and following the purchase Rosenberg will join the Poker TV Network team as the Chief Operations Officer and a Production Coordinator holding a seat on the Poker TV Board of Directors. He is expected to develop and produce several new original poker programs to supplement the ones he already created with the online casino sites focus he perfected on Poker Updates, Poker Talk Show and Poker Media Network. Said Mr. Rosenberg, "When I met the folks at PTN, we quickly realized that we shared the same vision. I am very excited that together, with Poker TV Network, we will be taking that vision to the next level.”

Poker’s popularity has increased as of late due to increased exposure to poker on television as well as the rise of online casinos and online poker companies to the forefront of the gambling industry.
